As of July 5, all visitors to the School of Nursing should enter from 21st Ave. S. via the MRB III ramp and new walkway into Godchaux Hall, where you’ll be welcomed at our new reception desk. Entry is also available from MRB III to the Nursing Annex between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. All other entrances to the School of Nursing require VUSN ID cards.

VUSN 2017 Founder’s Medalist Beverly Padgett honored

Beverly Michelle “Shelly” Padgett was honored as the School of Nursing’s 2017 Founder’s Medalist during ceremonies held in Memorial Gym during Commencement May 12. Padgett received her Master of Science in Nursing in Health Care Leadership.

A Letter from the Deans’ Nursing Policy Coalition

Recently, deans from some of the nation’s top nursing schools sent a letter to congressional leaders. In it, they urged Congress to include nurses in the national discussion regarding the Affordable Care Act. Dean Linda Norman was one of the 10 deans signing the letter as part of the Deans’ Nursing Policy Coalition.
