CRDS Research Space

The fifth floor of Godchaux Hall contains conference room space in rooms 508 and 509. This space has audio and visual capture capability, WIFI and computer access.

This space has been funded by the National Center for Research Resources for the purpose of research-related activities.

In addition, three large rooms (a total of 770 square feet) furnished for focus groups, interviewing and other activities (e.g. assessments) are available at The Sony Building located at 1400 18th Avenue South, Nashville, TN 37212. All of the rooms have WIFI and computer access. One of the rooms (The Yoga Room) has video and audio capture capability.

To reserve a room, please contact Jessica Harbison (Jessica.r.harbison@vanderbilt.edu). Room reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis. Please allow sufficient time for orientation to policies related to this space and for special furniture or AV needs.

Sony Building

The Sony Building is located at 1400 18th Avenue South, Nashville, TN 37212

To the Sony Building  

  • Traveling South, take I-65 South to exit 209B. Turn right on Broadway
  • Traveling West, take I-40 West to Exit 209A. Turn left on Broadway
  • Traveling East, take I-40 East to exit 209B. Turn right on Broadway
  • Traveling North, take I-65 North to Exit 209A. Turn left on Broadway

Follow Broadway.  Broadway will split at 16th Avenue to become West End Avenue to your right and Broadway to your left. At the split, bear left and follow Broadway.  Broadway will become 21st Avenue South.

Continue on 21st Avenue South towards the Vanderbilt Campus.  At Edgehill Avenue, turn left and continue two blocks to 18th Avenue South. Turn right at 18th Avenue South. Once you pass the stop sign at Horton the entrance to the Sony Building is on the left (building surrounded by a stone fence). You will find handicap and visitor parking on your left in front of the entrance into the Building. Once you enter the building, someone will be there to greet you and take you to your appointment. There is also a phone in the lobby with a number for you to call if needed.
