Academy for Women of Achievement honors VUSN’s Marilyn Dubree and more

For a quarter century, the Academy for Women of Achievement has recognized inspiring women who have improved the Nashville community. On Thursday, it celebrated its 25th anniversary with tribute to eight female leaders, including Nashville’s first female mayor, a U.S. District Court judge, a Nashville city councilwoman and several executives.

VUSN Alum Cherise Williams joins Wilkes-Barr General Hospital

Cherise Williams joined as a cardiothoracic surgery nurse practitioner at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. She graduated from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, with a Master of Science degree in nursing. Ms. Williams is a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Emergency Nurses Association and American Association of Critical Care Nurses.
