VUSN-managed midwifery clinics add primary care for women

Two midwifery clinics operated by a partnership of Vanderbilt School of Nursing (VUSN) and Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) have begun offering primary care for women, making them one-stop locations for women’s health services.

Stolldorf, Ph.D., has received a career development award from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Daughter follows mother into nursing through VUMC Nursing Explorer program

VUMC’s Nursing Explorer program has been helping students learn about nursing for 20 years. High school student Reed Sparta is a current Explorer member; she was inspired by her mom Elizabeth Sparta, BSN ’84, R.N., a Vanderbilt School of Nursing alumna who works in VUMC’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
APRN Emergency Medicine Fellowship created

Vanderbilt University Medical Center is starting an Advanced Practice Emergency Medicine Fellowship, one of the first programs in the country exclusively for nurse practitioners specializing in emergency care. The first recipient is Danica Ninkovic, who earned her Emergency Nurse Practitioner Post-Master’s certificate from VUSN in 2015 and will graduate with her Vanderbilt DNP next year.
