Vanderbilt Chancellor Daniel Diermeier recorded a video welcome specifically for Vanderbilt School of Nursing students. In it, he commended the VUSN community for its pivotal role in the university’s Return to Campus, calling VUSN faculty and leaders “our guiding stars.” He reinforced Vanderbilt’s values, including a commitment to a diverse and inclusive community, and encouraged students to dig deep in obtaining an empowering, lasting Vanderbilt education.

Masks are now part of our daily lives. They are recommended by the CDC and other health experts as a way to limit the spread of COVID-19. David Aronoff, MD, director of the Division of Infectious Diseases at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center has put together a quick tutorial on proper and safe masking. It’s a good refresher for those of us who are used to wearing masks and a valuable how-to for mask-wearing novices. This is also a great resource to forward to your friends, family and neighbors who may never have had to wear a mask before.
