Schedule - Please note, the Nurse-Midwifery program does not operate on the block schedule system as classes are held face to face for part of the program, with some coursework completed online as well. the FNP program does meet in block. NM Schedule FNP Schedule
Class Schedule
- Synchronous classes for midwifery and dual students in the Fall (6012, 6805, 6810, 6811, and 6812) will be each Tuesday (all day and evening labs) and Thursday (all day) through the semester. Several lab classes will be held on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday, and these dates will be available by mid-summer. Please make sure you have child and/or pet care for Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- Asynchronous classes for midwifery and dual students in the Fall include: 6045, 6010, and 6011. These classes will meet online in an asynchronous format.
- Nurse-midwifery & dual nurse-midwifery FNP classes will begin August 21 st , and full-time students should expect to be on campus every day during the first week of classes.
Courses
We are excited for you to begin VUSN courses! We are excited to get you started and hands-on as quickly as possible. Our pres-specialty students start with three semesters focused on nursing skills. Students who are already nurses dive right into the midwifery and dual midwifery/FNP coursework.
