Vanderbilt School of Nursing opens $23.6 million building expansion

Vanderbilt University School of Nursing celebrated the opening of its new $23.6 million building expansion with a ribbon cutting and grand opening event on Jan. 22. The expansion, which broke ground in June 2017, features a state-of-the-art simulation lab, technologically advanced classrooms and student services offices.

An overflow audience attended the January 14 VUSN Dean’s Diversity Lecture given by Holly and Eileen Forlenza. An estimated 250 students, faculty, staff and interested community members heard the presentation by Holly, a nonverbal motivational speaker, and her mother Eileen, an advocate for family involvement in health care.
