How to Survive a Plague
Documentary screening on the HIV/AIDS crisis to honor LGBTQ+ History Month. After the screening, there was a Q&A with a health care provider who served members of the HIV/AIDS community at VUMC during this time. (October)

Oasis: Snack Pack Donations
VUSNPride hosted a month-long donation for materials for snack pack items. These packs were provided to LGBTQ+ youths in the Nashville community, through the Oasis Center. (November)

From Gay Bars to Marriage Equality
A lecture by Dr. Tonda Hughes, a specialist in substance abuse and sexual minority health issues, as part of the Dean's Diversity Lecture series. After her lecture, Dr. Hughes met with VUSNPride to discuss the LGBTQ+ health education. (January)

Sex Talk with the LGBTQ+ Community: Becoming Comfortable with the Uncomfortable
For VUSN Diversity Month, VUSNPride hosted a panel discussion on sexual education and communication with the LGBTQ+ community from a health care perspective. Panelists include Dr. Lindsey Baksh (DNP, MSN, WHGRNP-BC), Nicole Mercer (APRN, CNM, FNP), Jennifer Scroggie (MSN, PMHNP-BC), and Bethany Sanders (MSN, CNM). (February)

​Access Reproductive Care Southeast
VUSNPride hosted Quita Tinsley, the co-director of ARC-Southeast, to discuss their work with abortion funds and the intersectionality of access to reproductive care for members of the LGBTQ+ community and people of color. (June)
