Kathryn Wolff Nelson
BSN 1946, MSN 1963 - Distinguished Alumna
Recognized for her humanitarian efforts in the realm of nursing. She taught in classrooms and village clinics in the Belgian Congo, which several years later was the basis of her Ph.D. study at Peabody. Returning to the Congo from 1978-1980, she directed the nursing section of Christian Medical Institute of the Kasia. In 1988, she ventured to China where she worked at the Beijing Medical University teaching with the Amity Foundation and Project Hope to prepare nursing leaders for the new baccalaureate program the school was instituting.
