VUSN featured in NPT documentary on Companionship & Intimacy on Dec. 18

A new Nashville Public Television documentary, Companionship & Intimacy: Aging Matters, explores the benefits and challenges of developing relationships as we age—with help from Vanderbilt University School of Nursing faculty, students and alumni.

VUSN Assistant Professor Carrie Plummer, PhD, MSN’05, is one of the experts appearing in the documentary. She is featured as she teaches Vanderbilt nurse practitioner students how to provide care and information about intimacy to their older adult patients. VUSN alumni Ginger Manley, BSN’66, MSN’81, and Brooke Faught, DNP’19, participate in the episode’s panel discussion. Faught is a women’s health nurse practitioner and director of the Women’s Institute for Sexual Health at Urology Associates; Manley is a retired nurse practitioner and certified sex therapist (author of Assisted Loving: The Journey Through Sexuality and Aging).

The show airs Wednesday, Dec. 18, at 9 p.m. on NPT, and Friday, Dec. 20, at 11 p.m. on NPT2.
