Just in time for Pride Month, VUSN’s LGBTQ+ student organization has announced a new name, logo and leadership. VUSNPride is dedicated to fostering social engagement, networking and sense of belonging for LGBTQ+ students and allies. It provides support and mentorship for VUSN students and applicants, while striving to create a culture of safety and community for all LGBTQ+ people at the school.
The group’s student leader, Laura Woodwick, is an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner student who is also involved with VUSN”s Honor Council and co-facilitates the Queer Graduate and Professional Students Affinity Group through Vanderbilt’s K.C. Potter Center.
For more information or to get involved, visit VUSNPride or email Laura Woodwick or faculty advisers Tom Christenbery, Sarah Fogel and Michael Gooch.
