The Vanderbilt University 2023 Fall Staff Assembly celebrated staff contributions to the university’s mission.
The School of Nursing’s D3 team (Senior Instructional Designer Diana Vasquez, Instructional Technologist Taylor Boll, Senior Instructional Designer Carrie Sennett, Media Services Manager Clay Sturgeon, Instructional Designer Candace McClure, Instructional Technologist Kara Blake, Director, Course Development and Instructional Technology Rhett McDaniel and Instructional Technologist Kelly Croteau) won the Innovation Excellence Award. This award celebrates excellence demonstrated by implementing or attempting a new system or approach that has had a meaningful and significant impact on a process, program or initiative at Vanderbilt.
Program Manager of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging Beth Sims won a Leadership Excellence Award and Assistant Director of Human Resources. This award recognizes staff members who empower, educate, coach and support Vanderbilt colleagues and show outstanding commitment to the university’s mission through strong, courageous leadership that builds partnerships, engagement and trust.
Staff Affairs Kristen Riggs won the Dare to Grow Prize, as part of the Faculty Senate Task Force on Administerial Effectiveness team. The honor celebrates those who dare to grow by coming up with creative solutions to challenges.
“I am thrilled that these VUSN staff members were selected by the university to receive 2023 awards,” said VUSN Dean Pamela Jeffries, PhD, FAAN, ANEF, FSSH. “Each one is dedicated, innovative and hardworking, and essential to the mission of the School of Nursing.”
