| This foundational dermatology course for nurse practitioners and enrolled nurse practitioner students builds knowledge and skills in the evaluation and management of common skin disorders, integrating skin anatomy, lesion morphology and basic pathophysiology with focused assessment, diagnostic reasoning, patient education and clear documentation. Learners will be able to perform a focused dermatologic history and physical examination, prioritize differentials, select appropriate diagnostics, initiate evidence-based treatment, determine follow-up and referral, and document appropriately. | ||||

| This course is a hands-on procedural laboratory focusing on full body skin exams and essential competencies such as: KOH microscopy, introduction to dermoscopy, cryotherapy, electrodessication and cautery, basic suturing, shave biopsy and punch biopsy, with emphasis on technique proficiency, safety and clinical application. 1 Credit Hour. | ||||

| This advanced dermatology course for nurse practitioners deepens expertise in identifying and managing cutaneous neoplasms, complex pigmentary, hair, nail and photosensitivity disorders and age-specific presentations, while applying advanced dermoscopy, medical and procedural treatments (including biologics and phototherapy), case-based clinical integration and ethical decision-making. Learners will be able to distinguish benign from malignant conditions using advanced diagnostics and develop ethical, evidence-based pharmacotherapeutic and procedural management plans across diverse disorders and patient populations. | ||||

| This lab course provides a comprehensive clinical integration and competency validation experience. Through complex case scenarios, simulated patient encounters and structured OSCE stations, learners synthesize assessment, diagnostic reasoning, management, procedural skills and professional communication. Emphasis is placed on clinical prioritization, ethical decision-making, interprofessional collaboration and safe implementation of evidence-based care to validate readiness for specialized NP practice. Learners will also participate in clinical observation experiences within a dermatology practice. | ||||
