Students develop a conceptual understanding of how to calculate and interpret inferential statistics in healthcare research. They’ll learn key principles and apply them to real-world scenarios.
This course will provide an introduction to basic descriptive statistics and equip students with a conceptual understanding of how to calculate or interpret inferential statistics in healthcare research contexts. Key principles of biostatistics examined in this course include data summarization, hypothesis testing, and univariate and bivariate statistics (e.g., t-tests, chi-square, simple linear regression). Throughout this course, students will apply course concepts to real-world scenarios.
