Tom Christenbery   PhD, RN, CNE

Director of Program Evaluation


Tom Christenbery is Professor of Nursing and Director of Program Evaluation at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing (VUSN). Since 2004, he has focused on teaching, research, and scholarship endeavors related to Evidence-Based Practice. He is the author of Evidence-Based Practice in Nursing: Foundations, Skills, and Roles. He is published widely in journals such as Nurse Educator and Journal of Nursing Administration. Tom Christenbery's courses actively engage students in critical thinking and clinical reasoning so that they may become expert nurse clinicians who have a broad impact on healthcare. He is a faculty advisor for VUSNPride and the VUSN chapter of the American Association of Men in Nursing.
