Sheree H. Allen DNP, APRN, CPNP-AC/PC

Bio

Dr. Allen is board certified in both primary and acute care pediatrics. She has nearly 40 years of experience working first as a registered nurse, caring for critically ill adults and children - more than 10 of those years has been spent as a pediatric nurse practitioner. She has been employed by the Monroe Carrel Jr. Children?s Hospital at Vanderbilt since 1998. She has served as a nurse practitioner with the Division of Pediatric Critical Care and Anesthesia since 2004 and maintains her practice there with the Pediatric Sedation service.

She received her CCRN in pediatrics in 1994 and received the Morton Samuels Award for Nursing Excellence in 1996. Her scholarly interests include global health involving vulnerable pediatric populations, pediatric disaster preparedness and response, and pediatric sedation.
