Rose Vick   PhD, RN, PHMNP-BC

Assistant Professor

Bio

Rose received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Belmont University, her Master of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University, and her PhD from the University of Arizona. Her dissertation topic was "Meaning Making and Dispositional Mindfulness among Women with Breast Cancer." She is a board certified Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and her scholarship and clinical interests are in the area of psycho-oncology. She joined VUSN as faculty in the fall of 2012 and teaches full-time in the Psychiatric Mental Health Specialty. In addition to her teaching role, she provides psychiatric mental health services to cancer patients at Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center as part of a new interdisciplinary Psycho-Oncology team. Prior to joining VUSN, she provided mental health services to adult cancer patients and their families at Norton Cancer Institute in Louisville, KY.
