Bio

Dr. Barut is an experience psychiatric nurse, nurse leader and behavioral health executive with a passion for education and mentorship. Her core values of caring and compassion underscore a commitment to improving the lives of others while promoting recovery and health, particularly in underserved populations. Dr. Barut is an Associate Professor of Nursing in the Nursing and Health Care Leadership Program at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing.
