Courtney Cook   DNP, ACNP-BC

Associate Professor

Bio

Dr. Cook teaches in the MSN program (AG-ACNP Specialty) and is a DNP advisor. Her academic interests include Advanced Physiology and Pathophysiology (N6102), Advanced Health Assessment Lab/Simulation (N6105), and Advanced Critical Care Concepts for the AGACNP Intensivist (N6149). Her clinical background includes: 

  • Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, Centennial Medical Center (current)

  • Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit, University of North Carolina Healthcare System (2010-2014)

  • Surgical Intensive Care Unit, Vanderbilt University Medical Center (2014-2018)

During her tenure at UNC Hospital, she was clinical faculty with UNC Schools of Medicine and Nursing. Through this experience, she became motivated to pursue doctoral study in order to contribute to teaching future generations of Acute Care Nurse Practitioners.
