Bio
Chance Allen is an instructor in the pre-specialty as well as the PMHNP specialty programs. He serves on the committee for Vanderbilt Recovery Support, a collegiate recovery program for students with addictions. He is a faculty member of the Vanderbilt Center for Professional Health where he teaches proper prescribing practices of controlled drugs for APN's. As well, he is a member of the Vanderbilt Center for Addiction Research. In addition to teaching, he practices at Healing Arts Psychiatry. Chance has experience in working with persons with addictions using interventions ranging from medical detox to psychotherapy, and is familiar with social programs designed to treat addiction.
