Bio

Dr. Keck is an experienced, transformational, senior nurse executive with extensive background in providing administrative leadership in defining operational standards and leading teams to achieve short and long-range organizational goals aligned with strategic plans. Becky has extensive leadership experience in the area of nursing administration in a multitude of clinical settings inclusive of inpatient and outpatient environments.

She is currently serving as the Senior Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing. In this capacity, she is responsible for the administrative operations related to VUSN faculty affairs. In addition, she serves as a member of the Deans Executive Team and as a liaison to resources, in the office of the VU Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs, related to recruitment, appointment and reappointment for faculty. This position includes providing oversite for the VUSN Faculty Affairs Office, faculty leaves as defined in the VU Faculty Manual, Faculty Conflict of Interest & Commitment reporting and approval etc.

Prior to her role at VUSN, Dr. Keck worked as the Associate Hospital Director: Nursing Finance and Operations at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Divisional Director of Nursing Support Services at Albert. B. Chandler Hospital, University of Kentucky Healthcare and Director of Medical Surgical Central Baptist Hospital.

Academic Interests

Dr. Keck is a Professor of Nursing with teaching experience in various core nursing and management courses at the MSN and doctoral graduate level with a focus in health care economics, finance, leadership, strategic planning and evidence-based practice. She currently teaches in the Nursing and Health Care Leadership specialty and Doctor of Nursing Practice Program at Vanderbilt School of Nursing.
