Pediatric Nurse Practitioner - Primary Care

Our Curriculum

Through a comprehensive curriculum that uses traditional classroom settings, simulated experiences and clinical training, you will develop deep pediatric primary care knowledge and clinical reasoning skills. You will learn pathophysiologic concepts, pediatric pharmacotherapeutics and health behavior and development. Our specialty offers you regular exposure to recognized experts and specialists working in fields such pediatric primary care and pediatric specialty outpatient clinics.

Graduation from this MSN specialty prepares you to take the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Primary Care certification exams offered by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board.

Educational Formats

If you have a nursing background, this specialty is offered to students in a modified distance learning that allows you to earn your degree without having to relocate or give up employment. If you do not have a prior nursing education background, you must first complete your PreSpecialty year within a daily commute of Nashville. When you progress to the specialty portion of your education, you will learn via modified distance learning and will not have to live in the Nashville vicinity. More Info >
