Emergency Nurse Practitioner

If you are an experienced nurse who is ready to work in a fast-paced clinical setting and manage varying levels of acuity, the Emergency Nurse Practitioner specialty may be right for you. Building on a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) foundation, the Emergency Nurse Practitioner Specialty prepares you for dual certification to practice in diverse emergency care settings. 

You will meet the growing need among emergency departments for skilled providers to treat children, adults and seniors with urgent primary care needs, critical illnesses, injuries or trauma.

Our Curriculum

This innovative specialty offers a unique curriculum to prepare nurses at the advanced practice level to provide emergency care across the lifespan for all acuities.

Our specialty is built upon our highly respected Family Nurse Practitioner specialty.

  • The Family Nurse Practitioner specialty teaches preventive health, patient education, disease management, and illness prevention strategies for everyone from infants to seniors.

Educational Formats

Applicants are required to have at least two years of current RN Experience, one full year of which must be as an RN in the Emergency Department, along with current TNCC, ACLS and PALS certifications. Our curriculum is offered in a modified distance learning format that allows you to earn your degree without having to relocate or give up employment. More Info
