Vanderbilt’s Master of Nursing degree is an accelerated, full-time entry to nursing master’s program designed for students with non-nursing bachelor’s degrees who want to become registered nurses.

Begin in January 2025  

Attend full-time, on campus in Nashville, TN 

Build on your current, non-nursing bachelor’s degree  

Be prepared for licensure and practice as an RN 

Get a head start on nurse practitioner or nurse midwifery education, teaching or research

Graduate with a master's degree, prepared to enter the nursing work force as an RN in less than 2 years

The MN program prepares graduates as registered nurses and provides a head start on advanced nursing education at Vanderbilt School of Nursing.

Up to 21 credit hours can be applied towards your nurse practitioner or nurse-midwifery education with Vanderbilt’s Post-Master's Certificate (PMC) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).
