Inaugural White Coat Ceremony for Nurse Anesthesia Students 

The Vanderbilt School of Nursing will mark a historic milestone with its first-ever White Coat Ceremony on May 15. The event both celebrates the start of a new tradition for VUSN and recognizes the pioneering spirit of our first class of Nurse Anesthetist students. 

Beyond its symbolic significance, the ceremony brings the cohort of students together in a shared moment of pride and purpose, cheered on by faculty, family and friends. 

Rooted in the principles of patient-centered care, safety and ethical responsibility, the ceremony grounds students in the professional values that will guide their practice from the start.  

Students are welcome to bring up to six guests. Following the ceremony, there will be a reception in the Colleen Conway-Welch Atrium.
