The Pre-Nursing Society is a Vanderbilt Student Organization open to any student interested in nursing. The organization holds monthly meetings at the Vanderbilt University School of Nursing. This organization's main goals are to explore nursing and increase understanding of the role of the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. This will be accomplished through:
- Participation in presentations, panel discussions, community service and other pertinent events;
- Exposure to clinical settings via 1-1 interviews with, or shadowing, a Registered Nurse or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. Students are responsible for arranging their shadowing experience in consultation with their Pre-Nursing advisor. - Networking opportunities in the nursing community; and
- Liaison activities between undergraduate and graduate nursing students.
