Vanderbilt’s Master of Nursing (MN) degree is an accelerated, full-time nursing program designed for students with a non-nursing bachelor’s degrees who want to become registered nurses.
Graduates will be equipped to take the National Council Licensure Exam for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) to become a licensed registered nurse in four semesters.

The MN program first prepares graduates as registered nurses and gives them a jump start on advanced nursing education at VUSN. Up to 21 credit hours from the MN program can be applied by graduates interested in pursuing an advanced practice specialty, saving students over $40K in tuition toward a Master of Science in Nursing at Vanderbilt.
Post-Master's Certificate programs offer opportunities for you to build upon your clinical skills and knowledge, allowing you to explore new professional directions. Specialize in an area of nursing and strengthen or broaden your clinical or management capability through additional education.
A Post-Master's Certificate prepares master’s trained nurses to specialize to become a nurse practitioner or continue nursing education to earn a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).
