Sarah Bloom MSN, APN, AGACNP-BC

Bio
Sarah Bloom is a board certified adult-geriatric acute care nurse practitioner. She completed her BSN at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, GO BLUE! In 2011, Sarah moved to Nashville to work in the Surgical ICU as a critical care RN at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. In 2014, she completed her Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Vanderbilt University, including subspecialty training in the Intensivist focus. In 2014, she joined the Medical ICU Nurse Practitioner team. Since that time, Sarah has been committed to improving specialized follow-up care for ICU survivors by developing an infrastructure for patient referrals, recovery team consultation, and by creating tools to identify barriers to follow-up care. Other clinical interest include point-of-care ultrasound in the ICU and education for advanced practice providers in critical care. Sarah has taught ultrasound, ICU procedure skills, advanced airway and mechanical ventilation management at a live learning course for the American College of Chest Physicians. Sarah joined the faculty at VUSN part-time in the Spring 2020.
