The purpose of this article is to explain how to create a multiple choice question in the Brightspace Quiz tool.

Create Question

Step 1

Select question type

1. Navigate to the new question page from a specific quiz or the Question Library
2. Select Multiple Choice Question (MC)

Step 2

Create the question

1. Enter the Question Text
2. Enter Answers
3. Select the correct answer
4. If you want the answers choices to appear in a different order for each student, check box next to Randomize answers for each student (Answers can be manually arranged by dragging and dropping into place) – optional
5. Enter Default Points (this can be edited later if you are unsure)
6. Question preview appears on the right side of the screen
7. Click Save

Feedback (optional)

Step 3

Add feedback for users

1. Click Options
2. Click Add Feedback
3. Enter comments for answer choices, and/or Overall Feedback
4. Click Save

Hint (optional)

1. Click Options
2. Click Add Hint
3. Enter Hint text
4. Click Save

Question Description (optional)

1. Click Options
2. Click Add Short Description
3. Enter Short Description text
4. Click Save

Custom Weights (optional)

1. Click Options
2. Click Add Custom Weights
3. Enter custom weight percentage for answer choices
4. Click Save

Enumeration (optional)

1. Click Options
2. Click Add Enumeration
3. Select the Enumeration type you want to use
4. Click Save
