The purpose of this article is to explain how to create a multi-select question in the Brightspace Quiz tool.

Create Question
Step 1
Choose question type
- Navigate to the new question page from a specific quiz or the Question Library
- Select
Multi-Select Question(M-S)
Step 2
Create question text
- Enter a title for your question (optional)
- Enter Points allotted (this can be edited later if you are unsure)
- Select Difficulty level for the question (optional)
- Enter the Question Text
- Click
Insert an Image
if you want to add an image to the question, and provide a Description for it (optional) - Select the Enumeration type you want to use for your answer choices (optional)
- Select Vertical or Horizontal display for your answer choices
- Select Grading option
- If you want the answers choices to appear in a different order for each student, check box next to Randomize Options (optional)

Step 3
Add answer choices
- The default number of answer choices is set to 4. To add one additional choice click
Add Option
; to add multiple choices at one time, enter a number in the box and clickAdd Option
. To reduce the number of answer choices click - Each answer choice has its own row in the table. In the Value column enter the answer text
- Check the box in the Correct column next to the correct answer
- Add comments in the Feedback column for each answer choice (optional)
- Click

TIP: In order for students to see the hint when taking the quiz, Allow hints must be enabled on the Properties tab.
