The purpose of this article is to explain how to create a multi-select question in the Brightspace Quiz tool.

Create Question

Step 1

Choose question type

1. Navigate to the new question page from a specific quiz or the Question Library
2. Select Multi-Select Question(M-S)

Step 2

Create question text

1. Enter a title for your question (optional)
2. Enter Points allotted (this can be edited later if you are unsure)
3. Select Difficulty level for the question (optional)
4. Enter the Question Text
5. Click Insert an Image if you want to add an image to the question, and provide a Description for it (optional)
6. Select the Enumeration type you want to use for your answer choices (optional)
7. Select Vertical or Horizontal display for your answer choices
8. Select Grading option
9. If you want the answers choices to appear in a different order for each student, check box next to Randomize Options (optional)

Step 3

Add answer choices

1. The default number of answer choices is set to 4.  To add one additional choice click Add Option; to add multiple choices at one time, enter a number in the box and click Add Option.  To reduce the number of answer choices click 
2. Each answer choice has its own row in the table.  In the Value column enter the answer text
3. Check the box in the Correct column next to the correct answer
4. Add comments in the Feedback column for each answer choice (optional)
5. Click Preview to see a how the question will appear
6. Click Save
