Minority Students Financial Information

What type of financial aid does the School of Nursing offer for minority students?

The School of Nursing offers three specific scholarships that are targeted for minority students.  All minority students are considered for the minority scholarships so there is no required application for students to complete to receive one of the scholarships.  Please note: these scholarships are not in addition to any other scholarship you may have been offered on your admission letter.  If you receive one of these scholarships, it will replace the other scholarship you were offered.

The School of Nursing offers three (3) specific scholarships that are targeted for minority students:

  • SON Scholarship (full scholarship to a 1st year minority student…students are notified if they have received this scholarship by March 25)
  • Goldstein Scholarship (partial scholarship to a 1st year minority student)
  • Hearst Scholarship (partial scholarship to a 2nd year minority student)

The Vanderbilt School of Nursing Student Financial Services offers information on all sources of available financial assistance along with information for external resources. If you would like additional information or have other questions about scholarships, please contact:
