Beth Colvin Huff
BSN 1974, MSN 1979 - Distinguished Alumna and Faculty
Recognized for her career focus in gynecologic cancer. She worked for 12 years in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology at Vanderbilt, during which time she served as national president of the Society of Gynecologic Nurse Oncologists. She was co-editor of the first textbook in GYN oncology nursing entitled Women and Cancer: A Gynecologic Oncology Nursing Perspective. Since 1997, she has coordinated the Vanderbilt Colposcopy Clinic where she sees patients who have had an abnormal Pap test. She is involved with resident, medical and nursing student education. She just completed two terms on the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology Board of Directors as the only nurse practitioner on the Board and received the Society’s Award of Merit in 2008.
